Ill give some more details. I'm a police officer and my salary is $60k. Im on a 9 year tier system where I'll eventually make 93k. (Im on tier 2) This is before overtime is counted in which could net me more money. I am single, pay $300/month car (includes insurance), $119/phone, and have one credit card. I found a nice home for around $145k within a less than 10 minute commute to work. nice backyard, finished basment, and just the right size for me. I saw this and instantly fell in love. Am I crazy for wanting to buy it? I feel I could definitely afford it, but as I'm only 23 I dont know about the hidden factors and potential costs when it comes to buying a house. Any input from, you're stupid stay at home and save money to you can afford it, but heres what you need to, do is welcome.
