I currently sleep on a raised queen size air mattress with a 2 inch memory foam topper. I can't say that it's comfortable but I'm not sure if it's "just me" as I have chronic pain.
My oldest cat is having difficulty with arthritis/etc so I want to make it as easy as possible for him to get onto our bed. This is why I want a low profile mattress.
I think 6 inches is the lowest they go, from what I've seen on Amazon. Inner Spring? Memory foam? Suggested brands?
Some other points worth mentioning: I'm overweight(& losing it but currently over 200), I have asthma/allergies/pretty sensitive to "chemical odors" so I worry about memory foam, and I really can't afford this but.. under or around $150 is preferred.
Suggestions are very welcome!
