I am hoping someone can advise as to whether fitting the burner from a gas BBQ will be safe. The plan is to have the burner and regulators etc on the inside of the bottom drawer with just the knobs attached outside. Although looking at where the gas pipe feeds into the burner the connection isn't sealed (top right pic) and it looks like there's potential for gas to spill out and fill the cabinet.
