Be brutal.
Fun facts: Me, spouse, two teens, and a pre-teen. No health issues. All three kiddos are boys who have healthy, not stereotypical "boy appetites". My spouse works and my oldest teen works. Younger boys and I stay home. No allergies. Simple food is what we usually go for - a pizza, diner food, Chinese take-out. We can cook. All of us. We have a fully functional kitchen. The damn thing has lovely appliances like a full sized fridge, enormous food processor, and a Vitamix. We installed a TV in there because it's a room that's sort of shut off from the rest of the house. We've meal planned. We've meal prepped. We've bought our groceries from Aldo and we've ordered from Amazon Fresh. We have bento supplies for both working family members. Every month we moan about how much money goes out the door on food and nothing changes. No one ever knows what they want to eat. It can take HOURS before it's settled and it's late and there's been yelling and...it's a mess. This weekend, we ordered pizza, Chinese, AND went out to a diner! And none of that was a special Mother's Day thing. It wasn't always like this and I don't know how we got here. It's killing our budget, slowing down efforts to pay off some debt, and putting serious strain on relationships.
Please help? I need something.
