I, like most people, have been holding onto a collection of random items I've purchased over the last few years, that I've been meaning to sell, but have really just ended up collecting dust.

I suppose I was just too lazy to take the pictures, make an Ebay account and set up a new Paypal, but it really only took a matter of minutes to list 5 items I had lying around.

I listed these items at a price a little below other similar items, and expected them to take a few weeks to sell. Today, I checked my e-mail and found that 3 items sold, and I now had an extra $500 sitting in my Paypal account.

I'm now trying to find other stuff I no longer want/need/use, so that I can list it too and make more money. By my calculations, I have another ~$1,000 in random electronics lying around and probably a few hundred to a thousand dollars worth of other random stuff, that other people might need.

So, moral of the story: Don't be afraid to sell some old stuff. If you're no longer in need of it, wouldn't you prefer some cash instead of a paperweight?
