Obviously it's just more cost efficient to not smoke, but that isn't the point here.
I'm gonna make this pretty short and sweet. I used to spend about 100-120 every two weeks or so on cartons.((more than one person)) Now I spend around 40 ish a month. Bought an automatic rolling machine((around 80-90 on Amazon and trust me it's always cheaper on Amazon than in an actual "smoke shop")) I had a hand crank one at first and it is cheaper but they jam and break a lot easier, deff invest in the electric.
A box of 200 tubes is 3 bucks. And now I just buy a giant bag of organic((woo mildly healthier I guess)) tobacco, it's around 34 bucks. The bag lasts about a month, sometimes less or more.
Its a little time consuming but I just sit with an audio book or listen to music once or twice a week and roll my little heart out. I know smoking is bad, you don't have to tell me, but I figured I'd throw this out there in case anyone else decided to be a chimney when they grew up aswell.
