All you'll need to do is confirm that the information is correct in the controller's system and they will send you a check with no strings attached. This is where the state collects unpaid property ($) for residents of the state and tries to reimburse those who are due $. I recently claimed $30 from Johnson & Johnson. Never hurts to check and you may even be owed some money.
