My parents are very strict and overbearing and i want out. Basically im not allowed to have friends, girlfriend, phone, or basically LEAVE THE HOUSE AT ALL at 18 (this is not a punishment, but my entire life).
My parents pay for everything right now and i was not allowed to get a job before now. I also have no car right now in a city that needs a car. I will hopefully start a restaurant job this summer and then do work on campus these whole semesters (fall and spring) do work study and save EVERYTHING. By the way, not going to college to work full time is not an option in this house (also no car, so no say in this area) Then next year take a semester off working full time (if i can find a job) during the summer and fall before my junior year and try to become roommates with a friend at school (i go to CC).
The reason why i want out now is bc these summers really test me mentally bc i stay at home ALL DAY EVERY DAY and just wait until school starts. I dont want to do another summer bc it is like prison in a sense.
Have any of you guys done it? What do you think?
