I do not have enough money to start investing right now, but I am learning about investing and would like to apply what I've learned to see whether or not I am grasping it correctly.
Recently, I've been using trading212's practice accounts feature, but this is not ideal because it is not simulating actual trading - merely the kind that one can do on the website.
Where can I go to simulate actual trading - including taxes, expected broker fees, other expenses, dividends, and - if possible - how long it should take to place an order? I want something that shows me as realistically as possible what the result would have been had I been able to make a trade with actual money.
I'm in the UK, but I'm fine with anything that simulates what it would be like in the US or elsewhere if the situation would not be of a completely different kind.
