Title says it all. Sent a debt validation letter after receiving calls from a collections agency in January, and instructed them not to contact me again until they validated the debt. Stopped hearing from them, and the collections account was taken off my credit report the same month. Fast forward to last month (March), and I received a validation letter in the mail. But I notice that the collections account has not reappeared on my credit report(s).

Basically, do I still owe this debt? Will it reappear on my credit report now that they've sent me the validation letter? If I pay it, will they report that to the credit agencies, and that will cause it to show as a paid debt on my credit report?

I've done a lot of research on this online, and gotten many conflicting answers. Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.
