I'm not fancy enough for two types of forks, spoons, and a crappy knife. Give me one standardized fork, one standardized spoon, and I can buy several Kershaw spring loaded folders if needed for the knife portion. I like dedicated hardware, but matching things are nice and fancy. Heavy must mean it is good.

However, I need a set to feed eight or more to account for losses to kids, experiments, and dryers. Maybe 12 to be safe. On the larger side if possible, kids will adapt or use the plastic ikea crap.

Also a set that doesn't taste like pot metal/alkaline and is sturdy because I misuse tools all the time to get the job done. A set that includes a similar serving spoon, spoon with holes, and giant fork would be cool, but not essential, as I can drill holes in spoons and weld together a large one.

I think I may need to buy these all individually. These utensils may get smashed in the garbage disposer and need to be able to be filed down and returned to a normal tasting utensil. They may need to serve during war time or be welded to cars for emergency repairs, so no titanium or alu. I'm a large gentle-man and prefer large sturdy utensils built for stabbing and scooping. Lay it on me BIFL.
