For some reason my small NYC apartment has 2 large radiators in it and I'd like to get ride of one. It doesn't have a shut off valve and I don't think my landlord is going to pay for someone to come in and solve my issue. I'm looking for a fix.My first thought was install a valve to shut off flow but I'm not sure what I'd need. It's a radiator with one pipe coming in one side and another coming out the other (I think that means water, not steam?)My second thought was replace the radiator with a small pipe that ran the length of the floor that water (steam?) could travel through. I could rap the pipe in insulation and less surface area means less heat.I'm looking for suggestions or ANY HELP AT ALL. It's impossible to sleep even with all my windows open. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2oAmgVZ
