So we're going with HD for carpet installation in our basement, and ALL padding choices had moisture barriers. My basement is dry as a bone, I'm the highest point in my neighborhood and it's incredibly difficult for water to flow down there. I know water is everywhere and will seep in, ultimately evaporate, and go way. I did not want a moisture barrier pad, but I wonder if this is a deal breaker? If and when moisture comes through my concrete floor there's nowhere for it to go with the barrier, right?
