Hi. I realize everyone's situation is different and that everyone has different preferences. I want to ask a hypothetical question about what you would do in my shoes.

Currently making ~$120k with good bonus potential-- up to $60k but more realistically around half that for $150k all-in. Wife and I are in our late 20s--she is stay at home to take care of our baby.

I just received a call for a second round interview for a job paying around $200k plus about $40k bonus, for just about $240k all-in.

Now, the catch is that the job ups my commute from 1 hr round trip to 3 hrs round trip (incl. traffic). Breaking down the hourly, it makes mathematical sense, but for some reason I'm reluctant to be excited at this prospect.

We have no debt except for a car that is negligible ($260/mo) and a mortgage. Not hurting for money. However such a pay jump could drastically expand our savings/investments.

The job is not materially different. Same role, same type of work.

What would you do?
