My wife and I are moving to a city where the company does not have a license to operate to keep me as a W2 employee. We are in a situation where I want to stay with the company and they want to keep me, so I will likely sign a contract to remain working as an independent contractor.
I understand that the taxation here will be different and I need to establish an LLC, but, where do I begin here? I want to do things right by the IRS, but don't know where to start.
