FORGOT is the wrong word. SCAMED is probably a better word. I was tricked into opening an LLC for a friend who said would pay the tax and operate the LLC. He did none of the above and also didnt pay the tax. Shame on me and I learned my lesson and will never do that again but... now what do I do? He never made any profits or sales and did nothing with it so now im wondering if anything can be remedied? Since now I'm basically left with this LLC that never had any expenses/profits. I opened the LLC bc we had a really great business idea and decided in order to go legit we'd need an LLC. We were supposed to be partners but he never added his name to the LLC.
So what do I do now? I am disabled and cant work and dont have money to pay the tax.
I see online that tax for an LLC in california is owed on the 4th month the LLC is opened and that an additional $195/month is tacked on to the tax.
ugh... Can anyone clarify if this is true? And is there any way to stop the additional monthly fees? I can pay the 800 but not the additional fees tacked on month after month.
