So yesterday I contacted a Florida-based credit repair service (Creditfix.com), and agreed to have them help me dispute some of my credit card debt. After looking a little deeper and finding some of the hidden costs, I elected to cancel the agreement. In the contract, it says that I am allowed to cancel by midnight of the fifth business day after the agreement. I have been on the phone trying to cancel all day, and they seem to be using evasion (putting me on hold, refusing to let me speak to supervisors, etc.) I just called again, and they said the account is inactive, but I am still waiting to receive confirmation e-mails which they assured me they sent hours ago. I cancelled the debit card which they were supposed to bill, but they have my SSN, my address, and a picture of my license. Am I screwed? What can I do? Are they going to take me to court for non-payment?
