I know reddit probably isn't the best place to be asking for advice on purchasing a home. But... I'm a 22 year old trying to figure life out, so I appreciate advice. My friend who i trust with my life, is selling his home. He would like $65k. It's a very nice, newly remodeled home. Basically I'm wondering if I can afford it, doing calculations online it seems like I would have no issues. The house is in Indiana, and I make $43k, with added bonuses and stock program putting me up to $56k yearly. I don't really have much money for a down payment as I purchased a car recently, which is my only debt of $480 monthly for 3 years. I have rented an apartment since I was 18, so if you have any advice for me I would appreciate it!
