Hi! So I have purchased a house where all the doors have had their knobs changed to 'fit' the look and feel of the house. They look like this: http://ift.tt/2oLKb5g, they do not work as intended. I've dismantled one and I can tell the spring mechanism works very well, and I've oiled them, too. If I loosely couple the knobs on the axle, the door in fact works fine. The problem occurs when you try to finalize the installation of the knob - they are mounted on plates, screwed on in fact, and very flush, which exercise pressure on both sides of the axle and prevents the door knob from turning properly because of the friction created.Question: is this a common issue with a common fix or am I in to have to repurchase 10 sets of matching door knobs?Thank you! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2pL2Cr1
