I am cutting grass for the summer and just got my first paycheck and it left me with some questions. It was just a hand written check to me, nothing else. I was never asked to fill out w-4 or an i-9, or any other tax form. No documentation about hours worked multiplied by hourly pay minus deductions or anything. The work week the check reflects has over 40's hours. I am told taxes are taken out but there is no overtime pay. Is this standard in the grass cutting business?
