Wanted to get what the up to date recommendation is for counter-top water filters.
So far people seem to recommend either the Model 77 from PureWaterProducts or the Watts 500315 on Amazon (which by the looks of it seem to be very similar housings).
Ive also seen a lot of recommendations to upgrade to the KX Matrik PB1 filter regardless of housing. Are these good filters or is there a better option?
How BIFL are these systems? (of course assuming filter replacement).
For the record I am looking to filter Los Angeles city water that tastes decently already - I havent done any kind of lab tests but I live in a very old building (circa 1914) and I have NO idea whats in these pipes.....
