The rebates vary on the vehicle but I could get a 2017 Leaf for 11K. I'm really thinking a 2016 (last years model) CMAX energi plug in hybrid is right for us. Theres a tax credit of $4007 and I would get $3500 from CA. The car is discounted and rebates off MSRP of 34k to 23K. When you take the 7500 off, the net price is 14500 pre tax. We actually dont qualify to get the full federal rebate so we are leasing with the intent to buy at the end and the dealer gets the full 7500 up front, the numbers work out the same and we still get the 3500 from state.
