I am soon to be 29 with no money invested, however, I currently have about 30k to invest and no debt or obligations. I have already set a 10k emergency fund in a savings account with my bank at .25%. I am considering opening a Roth IRA with Vanguard and investing 5,500.

I then would have ~15,000 to mess around with. I was considering choosing 3 different ETF's for instance (Vanguards materials, pacific, and emerging markets) to put 5,000 into a piece. I would like to be riskier with a greater chance of reward as I am younger and have no debts or obligations currently. I however am very new at all this and still reading through the side bar for further information. I would greatly appreciate any kicks in the right direction.
