I work in a cold environment. Most of my day is spent in 20°F, but I also spend a lot of time in 35° and on rare occasions I get to go into the -30° storage freezers.
Right now I wear several layers of regular shirts/sweatshirts and it works alright, but could be better. I'm looking for a better sweatshirt or thin jacket to replace my outermost layers. Retaining motion and flexibility is important as I do a lot of reaching, kneeling, etc. Minimal bulk and durability are also necessary, there's a lot of tight spaces and things to snag/tear clothes (especially splintered pallets).
Most of my coworkers wear Refrigiwear stuff as the company pays for it, but I'm not eligible for that yet. It all seems pretty good; the heavier jackets/coveralls I tried on are ridiculously warm, but I don't have enough experience with their lighter stuff to buy my own and there are very few online reviews.
So... Anyone know anything about them, or have other work wear suggestions?
