One of my big weaknesses is eating out, and treating myself to good restaurant food far to often - I love it. In an effort to curb the habit, I've been using good old fashioned will power, with mixed results.

Now, instead of going out, I'll eat at home, or if bringing food or eating at home isn't an option, I'll find something more inexpensive than I would have otherwise (think simple grocery store deli case sandwich vs. the amazing burger restaurant down the street). It's been going ok, but it's still really tempting for me to use a hot plate of delicious buffalo wings as its own justification for spending money.

I want to reinforce the good habit of spending less on meals by consciously "paying myself" the difference between what I actually spent on a given meal vs. what I would have spent had I let my craving of the day have its way.

Are there any good apps where you can, in a few taps, send $1-25 from your checking to a savings account - and even better, one that tracks those savings in some sort of gamefied fashion? Would be fun to watch all those little good decisions accumulate that way, and my bank's app is a little too clunky to make it a practical, twice a day thing. I feel like something like that would go a long way to helping me with those little daily battles I have with eating out.
