This is the son posting for my mother.
We got evicted out of our house becaude we were less than 200 behind on rent. Although i beleive it is more than that because the child and their spouse got evicted out of their apartment for not paying their rent and moved on right behind us. They actually came in early before the day we needed to be out by and pit our stuff on the street. Luckily we had nice neighbors. We are currently living with some family a few hours away from where we were as it was our only option. So due to the sudden move we lost our sources of income. We have been living for 3 months on the credit card with a mace of $4000 and we have used a bit over $3500 of it along with what was in our bank accounts. We pay $300 a month for rent but we havent payed this month. we have groceries to last the month etc. But after that we're broke. We have both put out countless resumes a week after we finished moving and still havent gotten any offers. My mother is trying to apply for low income housing, and welfare after they cut us off when we moved, but the worker wants a rent receipt. The landlord of where we lived wont take any of our calls and hasnt sent us anything. Is there anything we can do other than wait?

Edit: Thank you all so much for the feedback and suggestions on what to do. We are going to do our best to stay afloat and get working to get back on our feet and pay off the debt. I'll keep the thread posted on whats going on. Once again thank you!
