I would really like to purchase a nicer stand mixer. Of course, I keep eyeballing the Kitchen Aid ones, and have been with for a few years. I use a hand mixer for baking, which is okay but not great. I honk if I had one that was a litte bit better, I'd use it for things like bread and pasta as well. With other expenses though, I really haven't been able to justify the $300+ price tag.
I enjoy cooking and baking, but it's not an every day affair. I'm good but by no means a chef. I would like something of decent quality that will last at least a few years with moderate use.
Are there any brands of comparable quality without the price tag? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy one?
