Hi everyone,

I'm 18 loving in the UK and currently trying to save for not only university but I need to be able to drive and own a car by October in order to save time at uni as it's in a remote location and relevant for my course to drive my own car.

My other issue is I can't stop spending. I have a well-paying job for someone my age and despite being vegetarian I constantly get takeouts with my partner, I always have to buy food for his house as he tends not to have much vegetarian food in, I tend to go out on the weekends with friends, always buy a lunch from college and worst of all I have a clothes/make up addiction and will probably spend around £100 a month on clothes/make up.

I have enough saved for a car but need to save for lessons and insurance. I've got a change jar that I put any spare change in at the end of the week as well as an ISA that I don't touch which has money coming in monthly.

I just want to get into good money saving habits now before I go to uni as I will most likely have a smaller budget.

I don't want to stop buying new clothes and make up and drinking with friends etc. I just wanted to learn how to control my money better and if anyone has any advice to help me save money
