I am graduating from undergraduate in chemistry, with an emphasis on biochem and minor in biology. I have less than a year before grad school starts. I think I could potentially save $5-10K + in 6 months between graduation and matriculation at grad school if I find the right job/housing balance. Can anyone suggest a field I might apply to work in temporarily? Maybe a good paying summer job?
I am a very hard worker, female, not afraid of manual labor or dangerous work. I will go anywhere in the United States. I have professional experience with power tools.
Also, what are some tips on being frugal during this time? Should I just move in with my parents and look for a technician job, or try to work on a summer fire crew or something?
