We are shopping for a home. The area isn't the most desirable or competitive, but sure enough we found a house that interests us. We say we are interested, but we are not ready to make an offer (not pre-approved yet, still in early stages). Sure enough, the realtor contacts us and puts the pressure on, saying someone else is drafting an offer. This home was on the market for 18 months, taken off, and put back on with a reduced price one month ago. Do realtors make up offers in order to encourage buying?
