I have a question and I'm not getting any clear answers digging around on the internet so I was hoping the wonderful folks of Reddit could help. I am 23 y.o., 30 weeks pregnant and due May,18,2017. I'm still on my moms health insurance. We go through Kaiser and I've been going to kaiser my whole life and throughout this whole pregnancy. So under Obamacare I had health insurance until I was 26 through my mom. If this vote to repeal Obamacare goes through, Will that mean I automatically have no insurance and my planned birth at kaiser won't be covered? If so what are my best options? I am unemployed and live with my fiancé (who has a very good job, we live comfortable but we wouldn't be able to afford any extra medical bills or debt) he says we could just go to the courthouse and get married so I could get on his health insurance. Would that be an option? Or is there a chance my health insurance with Kaiser will last until the birth of my son, because it was a pre existing condition before the repeal? My mom says getting married wouldn't help because fiancés insurance wouldn't cover this being that it's a pre existing condition & if need be I should go file for welfare before the birth and get health insurance through them. I'm pretty lost with how this all works. I don't want to start stressing out but with two months left I feel like I need to know my options.
