I broke my Leatherman trying to use it to pry a locked cabinet door like moron. I really gave it all and found it out the hard way it's not a crowbar. All I had to do was go to the website, enter minor information with no proof of purchase, mail it to the factory on my company FedEx account, and receive a brand new one ( or the option for it fixed if sentimental) in two weeks! I had to purchase or register the warranty.
TLDR: Lifetime warranty is a lifesaver.
