So as a recent graduate (UK) I got myself a job as a Big 4 accountant in a different city. Didn't want to live with a randomer in my first year in this new city (mistake number #1), so got a flat by myself. In my naive university mindset I didn't realise that in the real world, you don't have to rent for 12 months, you can sign a much shorter contract (mistake number #2).
