Hey guys. Looking for some life advice here.

I'm a 34 year old married male with no children and in the tech sector making around 300k a year. I just recently lost my job again after being there for 1 year time. This is the second time this has happened to me and I'm beginning to doubt whether I want to continue this line of work at all.

I currently have just over 500k in a cash and my wife and I are extremely flexible. I'm looking for business's that I can invest in to create recurring income from what I have before I try to find another job. Ideas I've thought about range from doing property investment in up and coming cities to investing everything I have in municipal bonds. My wife is working and current covering most of the bills, but our burn rate is higher than her income.

I guess the question is this. If you were a 34 years old without kids, worth half a million dollars, and wanting to do something totally different... what would you do?

Thanks in advance for the advice!
