My wife and I made some significant lifestyle changes over the last two years. We both lost a lot of weight and really got into fitness. Running for me and weight lifting for her.
Out of curiosity I compared a bank statement from when we were both at our heaviest to our most recent statement.
Turns out we were spending an average of $550 a month on fast food and alcohol when we were are our heaviest and unhealthiest. Compared to $20 last month on a few kids meals and some chicken nuggets at Burger King (currently 10 nuggets for $1.99).
No wonder it's so much easier to budget and live a more frugal lifestyle now!
