Im a big meat eater. And as is known, meat can be pretty expensive. One of my favorite dishes, onthe other hand, is often fairly cheap.
Find a butcher shop and ask them about how to get the pork/beef tips(they tend to go into the meat grind) its usually far cheaper than anything else(in my store its 1.99/lb for pork tips and 250/lb for beef tips.)
Take 2 pounds of the pork/beef tips and season as you please. Slow cook them inthe oven with a tiny bit of water(just enoughto keep them from caramalizing) and cover with tin foil. It usually takes 4 hours. Inthe last half hour add 2 roughly choped onions and a few cloves of garlic.
After its done paste the garlic and shred the meat. It lasts me 3 days if I eat it for every meal with rice.
This can go asian/latin/italian/african orany way you want.
Enjoy you guys ^¬^
