I know investors can get private placements, but I'm just wondering in the case of Buffet, does his company buy stocks on the open market, or private placements, or both?
Cause I'm looking at BRK's holdings and he's got substantial stake in many large corporations such as Heinz, Wells Fargo, Amex and Coca Cola. I'm just thinking that if this was done mainly on the open market it would have driven prices up crazily.
Just want some confirmation as to how Buffet and his company acquire stocks.
