I live in NYC, and granted taxes are generally higher here; I pay a city tax on top of everything. But I still don't understand how my bonus can be taxed at 48%. I make 80k a year plus my bonus, and pay a substantially lower tax rate on my ordinary income.
Curious what others' bonus tax rates are out there...
