I was strolling through Walmart last night picking up a couple things for the project my wife and I are working on and in the clearance aisle I came across some Pioneer Woman placemats for $1.50 each. Matching color scheme under regular price so I take 6. Then I saw a Nordic Ware 2 sided aluminum stove top griddle for $28.97 and I thought to myself "I'd like a cast iron one but maybe aluminum works just as well" so I asked an employee who happened to be stocking shelves to scan it and let me know what the original price was and he does and says "$28.97 is regular price". I thought it was strange that it was in this aisle but mistakes happen, I've stocked shelves before. Then I find a Pioneer Woman cast iron skillet and Dutch oven that seemed to be under priced. Both scanned at regular price. So I ask the guy "why is there a bunch of stuff not on clearance in the clearance aisle"? He says "I don't really know, usually this stuff is just old stuff and they got new models or whatever so it gets moved over here, I don't think any of it is discounted". Anyone else experience anything like this at stores?
