Fairly new to investing and decided to start with Acorns, brokerage that allows investments as small as $5, allowing for partial share purchase, into a pre-determined portfolio (Adjustable depending on tolerance). My current setting has the portfolio set at Aggressive: VOO- 13.91%, VB- 24.77%, VWO- 20.01%, VNQ- 30.17%, SHY- 5.05%, LQD- 6.08%. These ETFs provide a large diversification base. As a college student, there are zero fees for the first 4 years and after it is $1/month if under $5000 and 0.25% over $5000. Dividends are automatically reinvested. One of the drawing features for me is through specific online vendors (Walmart, Jet.com, Walgreens, etc), a % of each transaction is added to the portfolio. My goal is to maintain this account for at least the remainder of the zero fees period and foreseeably beyond.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post for opinions and advice on the fund allocation of this portfolio.
Edit: Reworded last paragraph.
