Hi all,We've decided we'd like to remove the carpet on this staircase of our new house. We haven't moved in yet, so I haven't had a chance to pull up a corner and see what's underneath. I think it's safe to assume it won't be hardwood. My questions: 1) would you recommend laying new hardwood floors or just staining the (likely pine) steps that will be underneath OR laying new hardwood stairs?2) if I go the hardwood route, which I am leaning towards, any recommendations on what would match with the oak floors seen in this picture.Overall, just looking for some pointers from anyone that has done something similar. Thanks y'all! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2nHbNr7
