Hello everyone!
To make a long story short, my parents have been taking advantage of me in what I pay for rent and utilities. It's to the point where I don't have a savings, and have about $100 in the bank to my name, right now.
We just had a huge fight into what I'm paying for my "rent" of an unfurnished room with no heat or AC. I'm being kicked out in May, but they want me to pay rent until then, May being the only month I won't pay rent.
I can't find an affordable apartment or house close to work. As of right now, I work an hour away from home. That's a lot of gas money, even for a little Kia Spectra. I'm looking for a roommate to help make things a little easier.
I have no friends or family close by, and don't have many in South Carolina at all. Maybe 2 friends that are already hunkered down even farther away from work.
I'm desperate. My parents have ran me ragged, and sucked me dry. Where would be the best place to find a roommate?
Craigslist seems really sketchy to me
