I will be turning 21 very soon and I want to get financially secure as soon as possible. I currently have just over $5000 in the bank. Unfortunately, I currently only have a part time job making $12.20/hr. In 2015 I only made $12000 and I'm predicting a total of $17000 made for 2016. I do no have a vehicle, I live at home with my parents, and my only expenses are paying rent to my parents ($360 monthly) and my phone bill ($40 monthly). I graduated high school.
My immediate goals are to get a vehicle and either a second job, or a full time and better paying job.
Sorry for the broad question but, what should I do? How should I approach living my life? I want to be financially secure and retire early.
Also worth mentioning, I live in Alberta, Canada!
