I took the plunge. I went to the Vanguard website filled out the online profile then opened up an account. They let me contribute $5500 for 2016 and another $5500 for 2017.
I sent my form in via fax(apparently they dont let younger investors e-sign online, thats what the lady over the phone said) and I am awaiting their approval. I chose dividends be re-invested, I was really tempted to put it in an account, but oh well.
