Does anybody know of any proper studies on general toilet paper use? Do people tend to use more pieces from the thin rolls per wipe out of fear of tearing them, bringing the usage-price ratio to the same as with thicker, more expensive rolls? Obviously it depends on local prices, as well as the individual's technique and - dare I say it - thoroughness, but any generally applicable results would be great.
This isn't a troll post or anything; I'm genuinely curious. I've started a proper budget this year and I've found myself wondering about lots of things like this.
By the way, if you don't do a budget, do a budget. My January was most probably the cheapest month I've had since I was on minimum wage a few years ago.
