Hi /r/Frugal! In my short 27 years of life I have never purchased a computer or laptop before. I've been given hand-me-downs and whatnot to get by. Current one is crapping out on me.
What I will use it for:
-browse the internet
-save photos/word files
-watch netflix and would like to be able to connect to a TV via HDMI
-listen to music
-webcam/mic that can be used with skype
I will be traveling with it and would like something small and compact. Ideal budget is about $500CAD. Any and all advise is much appreciated!
