Before I ever stumbled across this great resource, BIFL, I have always been frugal with purchases and judged not on price but overall ROI.

During my lfe as a student I found the value in Uniqlo. It was one of the few places in the UK that delivered value for money. Clothing would generally last quite well for the amount paid. I have to say now, however, that my experience with Uniqlo is mixed

Outerwear Jackets/Coats in uniqlo are generally a solid investment. The Ultra light down, is probably one of thee best clothing purchases I have ever made. Its so functional, versatile and easy to cary. Best of all its really cheap for what you get

Chinos

I've been really disappointed with the chinos. They look like shit under a year old, and I bought several pairs thinking they would last. Cheap, good fit, but not durable. Looking for an alternative now, using Jcrew Bowery at the moment and some Reiss models, although they're much pricier.

Knitwear

Probably the best of their line. Excellent value for money. Some of the cheapest cashmere knitwear I know and great quality

Basic Tees Quite good actually. Quality, Price and fit all good here.

Shirts

Oxford shirts fit good, price good, durability fair. I think I got about 18 months out of them which is okay. Would like better but price is cheap.

I have a plaid shirt from there which is excellent value for money, fit very good and durability thus far seems great. Abercombie has always been the best places I've had plaid shirts from

Jeans

Great for jeans. Their Salvage jeans, whilst not my personal style have had rave reviews.

Sportswear

Uniqlo wouldn't be my go to, the compression pants I use for under shorts have held up well.

Loungewear

Not great at all. I bought some loungewear set and it went to shit a couple of months later. On the flip side I have hoody thats about 2 years old now and looking great.

Underwear

Generally not a massive fan of their underwear, but their socks were good quality. Wash bright dress socks on their own or with colour catcher a few times before introducing them to main clothes. Had a pair fuck up a blue shirt on the second wash, which I don't think should have happened, although I will state that I packed the washer a little too full

Synopsis

Really a mixed brand. Some great products such as the ultra light down, mixed with some flops such as their chinos range.
