Just looking for a little advice: My wife is grossly underpaid, similar roles are paid $90-120k. She interviewed for her current job at $80k, and when they made the offer they dropped the salary to $60k. She took it cuz we were pretty desperate (I'm a student and not making much money). They gave her the impression that if after a year she proved that she could handle the position then $80k would be on the table. Well it's been a little over a year and she finally worked up the nerve to ask for a raise cuz she's been working her butt off and is doing a great job and has made a huge difference in her department operations and productivity. They came back today and said they would offer her $2400. She was looking for like $20k. The kicker is she is 5mo pregnant and looking for another job isn't realistic. What to do?
