Hi all, I am in the process of building an office and I plan to build a floating butcher's block desk from 2x4 glued together and then sanded flat. I have no idea what is the best way to finish the wood however? Should I oil it or stain it and should I apply polyurethane varnish afterwards to protect the surface?I will be using softwood studs as I am on a budget so am hoping the finish will help protect the wood!Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2kZTHPF
