They want pretend they are doing everything they can for growth. They knew damn well that the deals was not going to fly from the beginning. Why would they even announced the rejection in the first place if they are not even going to try a little to go forward?
MDLZ did it with HSY and KHC is following the path with UL. I smell BS.
